Working on the site shouldn’t show up as readers. Opening this page stops your visits being counted.
What the site measures
Plausible, which is cookieless and stores no personal data: page views, referrer, country, browser and device type, and which outbound citations get followed. No cookies, no cross-site tracking, no individual profile, nothing sold or shared.
Separately, the host measures how fast pages load — timings, browser and country, no cookies and no personal data. That is performance monitoring rather than audience measurement, it is not reported to anyone as readership, and the setting above does not switch it off.
A framework arguing that people should govern the data they co-produce should be able to say plainly what its own site collects.
Stored per browser, per device. Clearing site data undoes it.
